About Us
The Project
The Routledge Performance Archive delivers video footage to support and enhance the study and practice of performance. Alongside publishing key texts by both scholars and practitioners, this project is an entirely new venture in theatre publishing. We will be adding new materials regularly over the coming months, making this an essential part of today's theatre resources.
Routledge Publishing
Routledge is part of the Taylor & Francis group, a global publisher of books and journals for the academic and professional communities. The Routledge imprint encompasses materials for the humanities and social sciences, from student textbooks to advanced research.
The theatre and performance list is a market-leader, with a reputation for quality and innovation, and our authors are many of the key theorists and practitioners in the field.
Digital Theatre
Digital Theatre was established in 2009, with the vision to 'deliver a world-class online service that makes the diversity and excitement of live theatre accessible to people all over the world'. They have formed partnerships with Britain`s leading theatre companies, including the Almeida Theatre, English Touring Theatre, the Royal Court, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Regents Park Open Air Theatre and the Young Vic amongst others, to capture live performance authentically onscreen. The performances are then available for purchase by individuals, and viewed either by download using the Digital Theatre Desktop player, or as streamed video.
