Old Vic Productions (OVP) was set up by Sally Greene in 1994 and is run by Sally and Executive Producer Joseph Smith. OVP is the co-producer of Billy Elliot the Musical with Universal Stage Productions and Working Title Films which has been playing at the Victoria Palace Theatre since May 2005. The show completed a successful run in Australia and opened on Broadway to rave reviews in November 2008. Billy Elliot went on to win a record-breaking ten Tony Awards in 2009, including Best Musical. A first North American touring production opened in Chicago in April 2010 and a second North American touring production opened in autumn 2010.

Over the past 15 years OVP has been involved in over 100 productions in the West End and on Broadway, including: Taking Sides, Cyrano De Bergerac, The Reduced Shakespeare Company, The Vagina Monologues (London), The Weir, Car Man, Medea, Life(x)3, Benefactors, Elaine Stritch: At Liberty, Macbeth, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Hamlet, Sweet Bird of Youth and Passion Play.

OVP co-produced Sweeney Todd starring Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton, which won the Evening Standard’s Ned Sherrin Award for Best Musical, Noises Off, Clybourne Park, Jerusalem starring Mark Rylance, The 4 Prisoner of Second Avenue starring Jeff Goldblum, Three Days of Rain starring James McAvoy and Swimming with Sharks starring Christian Slater and Matt Smith.

OVP also works in association with The Old Vic Theatre Company led by Artisitc Director Kevin Spacey.
