The Gate Theatre, Notting Hill has a distinguished reputation that far exceeds its size and is London's only producing theatre dedicated to international work.  From humble beginnings it has developed a significant renown both nationally and internationally.

A hothouse for brilliant young talent, the Gate nurtures and supports actors, directors and designers to make bold and innovative work.  Artists who have made their mark here include directors Stephen Daldry, Dominic Cooke and Katie Mitchell, and actors Jude Law, Sophie Okonedo, Paterson Joseph and Rachel Weisz.

With an average audience capacity of 70, the Gate is small but ambitious.  It has challenged and inspired theatre makers for over 30 years, making it famous for being one of the most flexible and transformable spaces in London.
