David Tennant and Catherine Tate appear together on stage for the first time in William Shakespeare’s timeless comedy Much Ado About Nothing.
Two young lovers, Claudio and Hero, are to be married imminently but the devious scheming of a resentful Prince looks set to thwart the nuptials. Meanwhile, marriage seems inconceivable for reluctant lovers Beatrice and Benedick whose endless witty sparring threatens to keep them apart forever.
Directed by Josie Rourke, Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse, Much Ado About Nothing is one of Shakespeare’s great plays and reminds us all of the failings and triumphs of the human condition in our never ending search for perfect love.
Tennant and Tate sparkle in Much Ado… a supremely well cast production
The Guardian
Rourke’s production has a freshness and a wit that is often irresistible… a mixture of slapstick and flight that reduces the audience to a state of blissful hilarity.

I travelled from California to London just to see this show live. I liked it so much I went right back to see it a second. It is a marvelous production with two stunning leads and a very strong cast. EVERYONE should watch this. Thank you Digital Theatre for giving us the chance to re-live the magic!

Thank you Digital Theatre for making Much Ado available to watch. I saw this in London in July and loved it. Now I can watch it again and again. What a lovely Christmas present.

I had a blast watching this through Digital Theatre. It's the next best thing to hopping a plane to Heathrow and seeing it in person (only without the ear-popping.)
