Crystal Pite and Jonathon Young’s Olivier-Award-winning Betroffenheit combines theatre and dance to depict the psychological states of trauma, grief, and addiction. Based on Young’s experience of losing his daughter, niece and nephew in a fire, this critically acclaimed piece uses tap, salsa, spoken word, song and poetry to powerfully explore disconnection and isolation. This production was captured live at Sadler’s Wells in 2017.

Captured live at Sadler’s Wells in 2020, this hybrid work explores conflict, comedy, and corruption in the potent relationship between language and the body. The Guardian gave the production 5 stars, calling it a ‘riveting piece.’
