The Wind in the Willows: The Musical

An American in Paris

Featuring classic songs such as “‘S Wonderful” and “I Got Rhythm”, this Tony Award-winning Broadway musical tells the story of a chance encounter between an American GI and a young dancer on the streets of Paris. Captured during its West End run at the Dominion Theatre in 2017, this production combines the iconic music and lyrics of George and Ira Gershwin with breathtaking choreography.

John & Jen

Olivier Award nominee Rachel Tucker stars in this two-handed contemporary musical. As Jen grows up in the changing world of modern America, the country becomes more divided, and so does her family. Spanning two turbulent decades, Jen navigates shifting relationships with the two Johns in her life: her youngest brother, and her son. From Tony Award nominee Andrew Lippa and Tom Greenwald, John & Jen was captured live at Southwark Playhouse in 2021.

Red

Under the watchful eyes of his young assistant, Mark Rothko takes on the challenging task of creating a definitive work of art for an extraordinary setting. This multiple Tony Award-winning play stars Alfred Molina as the abstract expressionist painter alongside Alfred Enoch (Harry Potter series) and was captured at the Wyndham’s Theatre in 2018.

The Flying Lovers Of Vitebsk

Daniel Jamieson’s The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk follows partners in life and on canvas, Marc and Bella Chagall, as they navigate the Pogroms, the Russian Revolution, and each other. Broadcasted live from Bristol Old Vic in 2020 and directed by Emma Rice, this colourful co-production from Bristol Old Vic, Kneehigh and Wise Children is woven throughout with music and dance inspired by Russian Jewish traditions.

Some Like It Hip Hop

A comedy of love, mistaken identity and revolution that revolves around Jo-Jo and Kerri, two women who disguise themselves as men to thrive in a patriarchal city. Captured live at London’s Peacock Theatre in 2019, this hip hop twist on Some Like it Hot by ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company was nominated for Best Dance Production at the Black British Theatre Awards in 2020.

Funny Girl

Based on the life and career of Broadway star Fanny Brice (a role made famous by Barbra Streisand) and her tempestuous relationship with entrepreneur Nick Arnstein, this classic musical is brought vibrantly to life in a career-defining performance from Sheridan Smith. Captured by Digital Theatre live at Manchester’s Palace Theatre, this critically acclaimed production features a host of iconic musical numbers including ‘People’, ‘I’m the Greatest Star’ and ‘Don’t Rain On My Parade’.

Pieces of String

A new musical exploring three generations of one family, Pieces of String alternates between the 1940s and the present day, telling the story of a World War II soldier who returned with a secret that he would carry until the day he died. With haunting music and a very human story at its heart, this latest instalment from Perfect Pitch has been nominated for Best Musical Production at the UK Theatre Awards, with Gus Gowland also being nominated for Best Composer at the Stage Debut Awards. From Up Here

From Up Here is a new musical by Aaron Lee Lambert, exploring what one’s life choices can mean and how we can affect other people without even realising. This production, captured by Digital Theatre live at the Wilde Theatre, South Hill Park, was directed by Luke Sheppard, with musical direction by Tom Attwood.

Lift

One morning, in a lift at Covent Garden tube station, eight people live less than a minute of their lives together, considering how that minute might change them forever. This production of Lift was captured by Digital Theatre live at London’s Soho Theatre. With music and lyrics by Craig Adams, it was nominated for Best Original Score in the 2014 Whatsonstage Awards. It featured a host of star names, including Cynthia Erivo (Grammy and Tony Award winner), George Maguire (Olivier Award winner) and Nikki Davis-Jones. Contains strong language and adult content.

Into the Woods

Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods weaves together many famous fairy tales in an allegorical story of family, love, growing up and the hazy areas between right and wrong. This critically acclaimed production was captured by Digital Theatre live at London’s Regent’s Park Open Air theatre and was directed by Timothy Sheader. It won the Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival and features Hannah Waddingham as the Witch and Jenna Russell as the Baker’s Wife, among many other stand-out performances.
